Default Puppy Advice Please

I'm running into a small problem in the morning with my little one. Sparky is now 4 1/2 months and super healthy and strong, and a good 6 pounds. Eating great, drinking great, doing everything great really....we're even really improving with stopping the barking.

In the AM, when my husband and I are upstairs (our 2 yr. old lhasapoo sleeps with us), my alarm goes off very early (5:15 AM) for me to get out of bed and get ready for work. I never go downstairs, I go right from the bedroom to bathroom and hit the shower. My little Yorkie, in his little puppy den, in the downstairs bathroom, hears my alarm and once he hears that, since he's been alone sleeping in his little bed all night, he barks and barks and barks and barks.....my husband sleeps through it and I really don't mind it cause I'mm in the shower...I'm concerned because this morning, when I got downstairs, he kinda sounded raspy with his bark and coughed a bit, because I don't get done getting ready and get downstairs until about 6:20, he was barking for a good full hour straight....

I'm not sure how to handle this, but I cuddled him and hugged himm this morning and gave him tons of kisses cause I felt bad he had a sore throat, but he's not big enough to sleep in the big boy bed with us, and I fear if I bring him in our room, he'll bark because he'll see Chewy on the bed. I just don't think he can hold his pee all niight yet, and he's still too puppy-ish (i.e., gets so excited to be on the bed only wants to play, when the rest of the family is ready for sleep).

Any ideas on how to solve this problem....I felt so bad for his little throat this morning....
