He is 1 yr. and going on 3 months and he normally will go potty @ 10:30-11:00 pm. and sleep until 7 am., but for example last night my husband fell asleep and took him out @ 9:00 pm. instead he woke me up @ 4 am. and then I took him again for his regular long walk @ 7 am. That was an example of my point.
In general they nap so much when they're puppies, I believe you have to train them and make all things clear. I speak to mine alot, a woman told me that they have the capacity to learn up to 200 words? Good Luck!
Thanks Artie:

Comet definitely wakes up to poop, and then goes right back into his crate to sleep. I am skeptical about the wee-wee pad thing, only because he is doing so well with going outside to poop. I have been feeding him later on in the day, so maybe this has something to do with him getting up in the night? I try to give him his last meal of the day no later than 5:00 pm. and provide fresh water only during his scheduled feeding times. What am I doing wrong?
