She's pretty much back to normal now, except for the odd sick day when she's a little more tired than usual. And her incision is almost invisible--you can't see it unless you know its there. Incredible. We're just counting down the days to the three month liver function test!
I am so glad to see that Lacy is doing so well! I did try to keep Lola somewhat quiet for as long as I could. I know that several people on the Liver Board said 8 weeks, but that seemed almost impossible. I did keep her on a leash outside for 8 weeks becasue we have steps and a large yard with lizards, birds, and squirrels that she loves to chase. I tried to keep her from playing rough with her "brother" because the thought of the ring "kinking" and having to go back and doing the surgery all over again made me cringe! BUT...with all of that being said, it was very difficult after the first couple of weeks to keep her quiet because she felt so much better. I think if you can keep her from jumping and really running and playing hard, you'll be doing great! ~~~ Valerie, "Lola & Harley"
