The fleas will run up toward the head so made sure you start as high up on the neck as possible and work toward the tail. If it were me I think I would make a ring of Dawn as high around her neck as possible without getting her hair wet at first. I would think the second the fleas felt the water they would run up so you would want to trap them. Does that make sense?

Yes, I'm afraid she does (have a flea or two)...I have been using Frontline Plus, in the past, but I'm getting more and more skeptical about using chemicals...The only real chemical she gets is heartworm meds (Interceptor), but I live in S.E. Texas and we have mosquitoes as big as jack-rabbits...But then everything is bigger in Texas lolol...And yes, starting out w/the dawn around the neck, before the water sounds like a good idea...Then, after she's all rinsed off, I'll wash her head and body w/puppy shampoo....Thanks
