I had the dog spayed, had her teeth cleaned, and a vet check up just before she was sold. The dog was a beautiful little girl but what happened was the lady came and bought the dog without her newlywed husband, and he didn’t like the dog because he wasn't included in the decision. That is not my fault. I was very patient with this lady and told her all about the dog because I wanted to make sure she felt good about getting one that was one year old, and she said that was exactly what she was looking for. I even have an email stating how happy she was with the new dog. Anyone that has bought from me knows how much love and care goes into each dog. Also, I am a state licensed, state inspected, and AKC inspected facility. I am not out to hurt or scam anyone, that is not why I raise these beautiful dogs. You can tell by my website that my dogs are well taken care of and I have dedicated my life to this breed.

I am responding at what Karen has written towards my post. Again, I will state all FACTS.

#1. The dog did have mats throughout her coat that I did have to cut out. It took 2 hours to have her completely brushed out.

#2. The dog was spayed a few days before we picked her up, however Karen could not and should not have bathed her. I was told by Karen to NOT bathe her for a few days due to her stitches that could not get wet. So, she shouldn't have bathed her per her recommendations. I took her to the groomers as recommended after about a week after purchasing her. She should have at least had all knots and mats brushed out before selling her to us.

#3. If the dog was checked out by a Vet, then why wasn't she placed on antibiotics for the severe bilateral ear infection she was given to us with. Also, our vet said she has inflammation to her gums. I am now brushing her teeth several times a week to reverse the damage.

#4. The next statement I must address and clear up is about my Husband. The comment about him being upset about the dog and not being involved is a straight LIE! Karen has absolutely no idea what my Husband and I discussed about getting the dog. He was and is very supportive about the decision to get her. It was his idea to get a second dog. We love the dog very much. He was just as concerned about the dogs behavior as I was. Yes, he was included in the decision. I have no idea why Karen would even post such an untrue statement.

#5. The email I sent her was questioning the dogs behavior and if she was abused or mistreated. We wanted more information about why she is so skittish, nervous and timid. The dog basically appears to have never been socialized according to our Vet.

#6. One odd thing to mention and to let others know. We were never given AKC papers on her. I never thought to ask since we don't really care much about that stuff. We do not tend to show her, but others should really think to ask about receiving papers if it is important to them. I just think it is odd Karen didn't include it in the purchase.

We love Sophie so much and she has a wonderful home here along with a great playmate! She is doing better each day and occasionally see her tail wag! We feel like we saved one and feel so great about that!
