There is a website that lists many of the pet insurance types and has user reviews Pet Insurance Review - comparison of VPI, ASPCA, etc.

I have PetPlan for my three dogs. I have made several claims and have had NO problems! They respond immediately, have awesome customer service and pay REALLY quickly.
