The reason you will have some big Biewers is because the Yorkies in Europe are larger dogs and you always have to look in the past generations to see the size of the dogs. The USA tends to go for the small yorkies and that is what you are used to but if you look at Yorkies overseas you will see more sturdy dogs and I am sure more are at the 7lbs (standard) then here. Many of the original Biewers were in the 9lb plus range. But you will also see a litter have a big pup and a small pup. Also you have a lot of inexperienced breeders who look no further than the two dogs they put together instead of looking at least 3 generations back.
