Default Wake-up times?

When you say he wakes up in the middle of the night, is it to go potty? Or he just wakes up to play etc.? If it is to go potty you have control of that by setting his schedule and cutting off his water intake. In general they are light sleepers, unless I have completely exercised mine, anything wakes him up. He is 1 yr. and going on 3 months and he normally will go potty @ 10:30-11:00 pm. and sleep until 7 am., but for example last night my husband fell asleep and took him out @ 9:00 pm. instead he woke me up @ 4 am. and then I took him again for his regular long walk @ 7 am. That was an example of my point.
In general they nap so much when they're puppies, I believe you have to train them and make all things clear. I speak to mine alot, a woman told me that they have the capacity to learn up to 200 words? Good Luck!
