I know, I know, Rusty is not, biologically, a Yorkie. And I probably shouldn't have a birthday thread for him on the My Yorkie Pictures forum.

However, I ask for an exemption to honor him today. He was born to be a Yorkie's best friend, and he has embraced the job for most of his life. He befriended MeganS's Tucker and Bandit, he was Jack's best friend, he tolerates Eddie, and he protects Jillie. Every Yorkie should have a Rusty.

Happy 11th birthday, Rusty. You are a fantastic dog. The Yorkies of the world salute you, and I do too.

The third picture here says it all. Rusty seldom socializes with the dogs at the big-dog meetup. But when Jillie's around, he's always right there to make sure the big dogs behave.
