do you not leave water with her all day??? if she's home crated or kenneled during the day while you are gone she needs to have access to water the entire day...it's cruel to have her in a crate for more than a few hours, and if you are confining to an exercise pen you should have water down all day for her.
as for potty training, i've had mine for two weeks and there's no way in HECK she could be reliable in that short of time to not have accidents. plus depending upon the age, they may tear your house to bits by chewing everything in site.
i'd wait at least 2-3 months before opening up more of the house, start small with just the kitchen or bathroom with tiled flooring under her...if there are NO accidents for several weeks then you can begin to trust the puppy. not until then!!
