I did alot of research on insurances before I decided to go with PetPlan. They cover ALOT of stuff, most of which other insurances do not cover. Be wary of VPI they have a lot of exclusions - you have to read the fine print.
Embrace was my second choice and they are cheaper but I went with PetPlan because I could choose the copay/reimbursement level that I wanted and also the coverage is higher overall.
Not sure if they would cover your baby with the gastritis now though because that would be a pre-exsiting condition unless she goes to the hopsital for an unrelated condition. Although basically anything directly resulting from gastritis would not be covered now.
