I use multiple crate with my dogs when they were puppies. I don't think it would confuse the puppy.
I think the reason why he is peeing in the second crate is because at night, you usually don't feed or water the puppy before going to bed. So his need to go pee pee is not too great(plus if he does need to go out, you are there and would take him out if he makes noises)
However, during the day you do feed and water him so his need to go pee pee is higher than at night. Plus you guys are probably not there to take him out when he feels a need to go during the day, so the only thing he can do is pee in his crate.
Keep in mind his bladder is very small. Also at this age, he really do not have a lot of bladder control anyway. If he need to go, he goes. |
