Yorkies can be prone to having bouts of collitis and/or HGE Hemorrhagic GastroEnteritis. Mostly cause is unknown, but is thought to be stress-related. ( food changes, any stressors: things that upset the dog) Both can come on quickly and due to the smaller size of most Yorkies can be quite rapidly debilitating and requires treatment from a Vet: the sooner the better (and the less expensive).
