[Sweet Apple]

This one hit close to home...I've always worked, since I've had Apple, so she's used to it, but it doesn't make it any easier...And they are so smart!...She knows when I'm just going out the front door to somewhere else besides work, and runs to the door, growling and nipping at my feet, either trying to tell me to stay in, or take her w/me...But when I'm going to work, she just sits back and looks at me w/such a sad face, it breaks my heart ....I always give her a baked biscuit (which she doesn't eat or take, while I'm still in the house, but eats later lol...I'm actually getting all my ducks in a row to try to take early retirement and be a pet sitter, so I can be w/her more often...Not sure I can do this 'till at least next summer, but I'm working w/the small business association, etc...Imagine, a 4 1/2 lb. little creature having that much control over my world!!! I just keep telling myself that she is a blessing in disguise and will change my world for the better (from corporate to private)...I'm glad you've got two, I know that helps...The other thing that helped me is I heard/read that they only live in "the now", so they're not really aware of the time span in between...I'd like to tell you that you will get used to it, but it's been 7 months from me, and I still hate it every morning...The babies are probably doing better than us....But, OHHH, the welcome home is delightful!!!
