Go up to post #15 in this thread and PM Sugarsmom. She is a well-respected breeder from KY. She is very knowlegeable and best of all she puts her puppies' welfare first. She might be a few hours drive from you, but worth the trip. I don't know how long you might have to wait for a puppy as she does not breed all the time, but again.....worth the wait.
Good luck. Glad you did not take offense when it was wondered if you could be the breeder. Yes, we have had that happen many times before. Most often when there is a complaint, then they will sign in as several different people and commend themselves until they get caught and banned from the site.
Also don't let all of the care and grooming dissuade you from the most loving breed I have ever known. They make it all worthwhile! You can keep them in a puppy cut (short hair) to make grooming easier. They still do require more maintenance than your average dog -- but they are so worth it!
