My little yorkie boy growls at me and snarls and sometimes tries to bite when I'm brushing. He will let me brush his back but won't let me come anywhere near his face. I have even tried just getting him used to me touching him around his face and he is SO FAST to get away from me. I can get a pony tail in him (amazingly) but it's out in 2 seconds... Also, he has thin hair on his head so is it better to keep him long or short with thinner hair? I'm pretty sure he is the silky type as he has not matted at all since his hair cut... just a tangle here or there after some rough playing. Any advice?? What tools should I be using on him? I used a slicker brush on my MS but then i brushed it on me and OUCH! I also have a metal comb looking thing where the prongs rotate?
I dont know what I have but its like a metal comb with a wood like handle..I get him shaved so I dont really have to brush him...I would just work with him, thats the only way it going to get better...brush him a little and the minute he lets you give him a treat and tell him good boy..It might take a little work..but if you keep working with him I am sure he will get over it.
