Winston had the same problem. I noticed that he was always rubbing his face on his paws especially after eating. I switched him to a food that didn't have corn in it and problem solved. It most likely is a food allergy but it is tricky to pinpoint what ingredient is causing the allergy. I switched him from royal canine to nature's recipe and he is doing much better now.
