Hi there, Welcome to YT Congradulations on your new puppy, Mr. Sammy. He is adorable.
He is very young, and it will take time for his hair to grow out. I agree that it is important to start not out on the brushing. Using a soft brush , on him. The grooming ought to be gentle and "fun" for Sammy. So he becomes use to the feel of being groomed, and not to fear brushing, or become aggressive when it is time to be groomed. Talk to him while brushing him as well. Be patient, and take time with him. It's so important to start out early .
Being a yorkie , it will become a daily experience for him to be groomed . The sooner the better , he becomes accustomed and familair with daily grooming.
