Keep in mind most breeders do not let their puppies go to new homes before they are 12 weeks old. So yours is still younger than most you will see out and about. His hair will grow. IT seems like all of a sudden, their hair does start to grow and then they go through this unruly/bad hair stage for a month or two. Finally, it will grow enough to lay down naturally and you will start getting the more adult Yorkie look. Just enjoy each day!

This is a good time to find a really soft brush, like a baby brush and get your boy used to grooming. He will like the feel of the very soft brush, and with short hair, there will be no tangles to cope with. After a few months the puppy hair likes to mat, and if they are not used to grooming, it can be a real chore to get them to sit still for a good brushing daily.
