Yes, they do have hair loss after whelping. I also feed a premium wet food for the first week and then mix a premium wet and premium dry food together for another week. Then she gets just the premium dry food about 3 to 4 times a day. The female I have losses hair every time she whelps. It is definitely hormonal, at least that's the way it appears to me. It grows back but I also don't breed my females every cycle. That would be like you having a baby every year. I'd pass on that one. I also give vitamins daily and extra calcium after they whelp until the puppies are weaned. Hope it helps and don't worry.
