I would be very nervous with that so you made the right decision. WHen it comes down to it you have to think of why she doesn't like people. Is it just that she wasn't socialized as a puppy, is she being mistreated(backyard breeder anyone) or is it another reason. I would have done the same thing you did and walked right away!
