Depending on his age, and the age the first shot was given, 3 may be all that is required. My vet said since my pups got their first at 6 weeks, and since parvo is really bad here that they upped the recommendation HERE to 4 shots to carry them past the 16 week age. Last year, they only required 3 shots for my other two pups.
