You could also buy a little tank top or shirt from Petco. They are very inexpensive there. If you are going to sew and cut a sock... why not sew and cut a cute little shirt or something. I have taken in the sides before, when Laila was too small. There are also people on ebay who sell really tiny outfits - ebay is a great resource for reasonably priced attire. Good luck!
