Actually you want something that has sharp blades, and the tip isn't pointed, but rounded, most kid's scissors have rounded tips, but their blades aren't sharp either, as they are meant for just cutting paper. Dull blades can chop, and pull hair, instead of cutting it. They do sell rounded tipped scissors that are sharp.
