I have done several Planned C-sections, BUT I always take their temperature and wait untill they go into labor. If you do it too soon the baby may be too young, even hours can make the difference in a live puppy. Also Mom has a chance to know what is happening and usually accepts the baby right away. I am blessed with a vet that is available to me 24/7/365
