I don't know if there's an age requirement for the one I use for Addie. I bought the Petrodex poultry flavour. It came with a finger brush as well as a toothbrush with a small brush on one end and a larger one on the other end. Addie absolutely loves it. She thinks it's some fantastic treat.
When you first start brushing your pup's teeth, though, I've read it's a good idea to put a little of the toothpaste on your finger and let your pup try it first. I did that with Addie, and it seemed to work fine.
