I think she wrote "of this bill" she got $611. I'm not sure that was the total amount she was reimbursed.

I have insurance also with the idea that it would be there to cover major incidents. I submit claims for routine things also...these routine claims offset a little the cost of the insurance -- not 100% but it helps.

I had a Yorkie 3 years ago that had to have emergency surgery and spent 4 days in intensive care. It was was INCREDIBLY expensive and cleaned out my savings and some on a credit card as well. I guess I could stick the $70 a month into a savings account and over time it would build to an amount that would cover a major incident, but my Yorkies are 2. What do I do if they get sick now?

$70 x 12 x 2 = $1680 (that wouldn't have made a dent in my emergency vet bill)
