Well, we took Kelli in this morning for her follow-up. The scratch on her eye is healed, she'll have a tiny scar but it's going to be okay, which is good news. The Dr. went ahead and checked her other eye just to be sure it was okay too.
The Dr. went ahead and examined her while we were there, her allergy bumps are back and to top it off, she has a swollen throat! THIS is why she's been doing the reverse sneeze so much. I was worried about it being a collapsed trachea, but it's swollen due to her allergies. Kinda the same as when we get strep throat. So, we have her on 2 more anti-biotics and if we don't see an improvement by Thursday, we have to call them.
I am SO LIVID with the other vet that saw her before. They refused to give her anymore antihistamines or anti-biotics after she got finished with her third round of them. They said it would clear up on it's own with cooler weather, which it hasn't. She NEEDS to be on these meds. The Dr. that saw her today we absolutely love and we're going to request her from now on. She's WONDERFUL with Kelli and we're really impressed with her.
So now we start meds all over again and hopefully she'll improve, I don't want to have to put her through the vet again this week.
