Personally we have a house alarm system known by the whole neighborhood because we mistakenly set it off when our routine is changed the slightest bit. However, I also know my car locks and unlocks through the brick and since we live in such a quiet, semi-rural subdivision, I know that a startling car alarm would bring help if anyone on the street is at home.
I have no idea whether or not the phone will unlock a keyless car but it sounds like a cool idea if it works.
As for me, if someone breaks in our house, the house will set off its alarm, I'll hit the car alarm and lights, but my screams may be the loudest of all. (I've never been known for my quiet ways.)
I do know, however, how loud a car alarm can be in a quiet setting. Before I retired, I drove my husband's car to school and had some of my junior high boys help me unload some things. They suggested I "try out" that button that I'd never noticed before. To say the least, I made their day and maybe their month. It was slapstick comedy and they were laughing their heads off! It really was a funny sight because I didn't know what to do to get it to stop. When they stopped laughing long enough, they showed me how...LOL (It was one of the few times I've ever seen teenage boys laugh till they actually cried....LOL...)
