Mardelin. I spoke with a breeder in my area who told me about the show as well. She did inform me that no breeder on the ytca website would sell an unspayed female but I am still unsure if that is something my fiance really wants to go through. Maybe I can talk with her more about it.
And she is absolutely right. The reason I mentioned the dog show is that you can go and meet breeders first hand. It is best for them to get to meet you face to face, find out where your heart is and get to trust you.

The fact that you may or may not want to breed does put you in a precarious position Here's something else you and your fiance should consider. In breeding this wonderful breed, should you decide to proceed, are you prepared to give up a minimum of 4 weeks of your lives....yep! from the time the puppies are due and until they and mom are stable. Both of you will have your work cut out for you. Not only the assisting the girl in bringing those pups in to the world, you'll have cleaning, vet checks, tail docking and dew claw removal expenses, vaccination expenses, daily weighing and temp taking, socialization. That along with making sure that mom is properly cared for and her nutritional needs are met for her milk production and health.
