Default I have to go potty!!!!

My Maddie is 19 months. She potties outside only. Well, unless you count the accidents inside...., but no pee pads is what I meant. My question is, how do I get her to let me know she needs to go out? We go out the same door always. We take her out every 3 -4 hours and she goes pretty much on command. However, if she has had a lot a water, or has an extra poop to do (usually only poops in the a.m. and after supper), and needs to go, she just goes whereever she feels like it. I do use an enzyme cleaner and she doesn't go to any one particular spot. She will just squat and go, even right in front of me!

I've read about the bells, but with the shape of our house, you can't hear the bells from the whole house if I or my girls are in the back portion of the house. I would love to teach her to bark at the door or come to us and bark, but have no idea where to begin????
