I don't know if your vet told you to do this. But, my vet had me do this to one of my girls who developed a staph infection. Bathe your girl every 3 days in a very cool bath, as cool as she can stand it. Blow dry with cool air. This helps control the itching as well as kill the staph.
No he said to bathe her once every two weeks!!! But I have doing in weekly because she is outside quite a bit...He also recommended Johnsons Baby shampoo, we are currently using Biogroom~but dd recommended Dr. Bronner's Mild Unscented Baby shampoo.
