Mine are also green. The breeder I got my original pair from had a clutch with blue, yellow and white. They were so pretty!!
You are right about not getting a second one, parrotlets do not get along very well with others. You can't keep two of the same sex caged together and if you put them with the opposite sex they bond to each other.
I have my original breeding pair together in a cage and below them I have a male and female that I kept from one of their clutches.
