It took my girl (only child of 2 years) a while to accept the new pup. It was an adjustment for us, but she was very jealous and needy or didnt want us at all.
At night I gave them each momma time- the pup would be put in bed and I would rub on Roxie and give her kisses. Then it was the pups turn he got his time. Now it is a part of every night.
It will get better, they are now best friends and it was one of the best decisions that we have made.
