I agree it's a nutrition issue for feeding your yorkie puppy food until 1 year of age. My Sophie is 9 months old and I feed her Eukanuba Small Breed Puppy Kibble. It's hard and cleans her teeth at the same time. She likes it so I plan to feed her Eukanuba Yorkshire Terrier kibble when she is 1 year old. I like the idea of Eukanuba having breed specific formulas for yorkies special coat and diet requirements. They carry it at PetSmart and Petco
