Puppies are especially vulnerable to mites/mange bc they're easily passed on from the mother. They can be EXtremely tough to diagnose, sometimes even requiring a biopsy bc they've burrowed under the skin. Read this whole page, but especially FORM #3: DEMODECTIC PODODERMATITIS: Demodectic Mange
Some itching is always normal, but if a dog or puppy is biting/licking paws/legs...it does warrant some looking into bc of the potential of what that might mean. |
i noticed at the bottom it talked about ivermectin, i think that's her flea and tick med. it's worm shield.
i think it's an ivermectin though. shouldn't that be helping if there are mites?
