Puppies are especially vulnerable to mites/mange bc they're easily passed on from the mother. They can be EXtremely tough to diagnose, sometimes even requiring a biopsy bc they've burrowed under the skin. Read this whole page, but especially FORM #3: DEMODECTIC PODODERMATITIS:
Demodectic Mange
Some itching is always normal, but if a dog or puppy is biting/licking paws/legs...it does warrant some looking into bc of the potential of what that might mean.
