He's been gagging and coughing for 5 days now. I was away in NYC for 4 days
and came back and my dad told me he had been doing this a lot. So, I took
him in and she's 99% sure it's NOT tracheal collapse, thank God. Originally, I just
thought he maybe had something in his throat.

He was up from 4-5am coughing/gagging this morning. I felt so bad for him (and I'm tired as can be!)

Anyone else ever dealt with kennel cough?
My Rita & Scooter had this last month. At first I thought they had something in their throats too. My daughter had gotten a puppy from the Humane Society here and brought it over to show us, 5 days later two of mine had kennel cough, even though they had been vacinated all their lives for it. It cleared up in about 7 days, but they took antobotics for 14. Harley, who is alot bigger (yorkie) didn't get it at all. The little ones can pick it up faster. The vet said it would of been alot worse if they hadn't been vacinated already. My daughter's puppy (lab) never did get it or show any signs of it, but was a "carrier".My two sounded just awful, like a goose honking. They are all well now and I'm sure Jackson will be too. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
