The larger ones, are not allowed on the floor, but on occasion have been startled and landed close to one of the dogs, the dogs seem pretty nervous when actually that close and no one has been bitten or anything. The exception is our Indian Ringneck, Blue. She is very aggressive, and is not afraid of much. When I let her out in the evenings, she likes a certain spot in the kitchen and has no fear of walking around on the floor playing with a pop can. The dogs have all been nipped at least once by her, and don't mess with her at all, lol. She is not a big bird, little bit bigger than a cockatiel, but thinks she is much larger. Here's some pics. |
Wow your parrots are all beautiful, what a lovely bunch you have!!
My conure thinks he is huge and he likes to walk on the floor. I put my bigger dog away or put a muzzle on her because she would love to snatch him up and he is not afraid of her and will taunt her all he can.
We used to let him have free roam with Stormy because neither cared for each other. Now he has limited time out supervised of course for his own protection. We let his wings grow back in. He just loves to sit on the couch pillow and hang out with us watching tv.
