Yes, it must have hear her or saw her. They will came back for many nights. I had 2 of them one on the tree at the end of the yard around 150 yards away and one on the house by the chimney.
I would go out with the babies and a flashlight and a broom. and I make sure we were super close to the back door. We do our thing and ran in the house. They left after around the 5th day, and haven't came back, That was a month ago , but I still go out with them. I use to let them ran all over the yard no more.
