Good idea...in theory.

However some of the thoughts stated above about too much info, whether the finder would know what to do with the tag, tag detaching from the collar & being lost or worse yet...eaten were all things that ran through my mind as well.

The same can be said about microchipping that not every finder knows to look for a microchip on a found pet or if they do, will they take the time to have them scanned.

My biggest worry is one that I'm sure others share...if someone finds a cute lil' Yorkie...will they really try to find the owner or will they just keep the cutie for themselves.

In that instance...then maybe I would consider this type of tag because, it would be at least my attempt at 1. bringing my pet home so, they'd see how much she is loved...or if the finder decides to keep my pet, 2. that my pet's new finder () would at least have all the info needed to keep my babies new transition one with some familiarities...especially, the food she's used to eating.

In the meantime...my girls are all microchipped & wear a name tag with my cell #.
