I've heard really bad things about Science Diet in general...they are only considered premium dog food because o fthe preservatives they use...if you look at the ingredients on the dry dog food the first ingredient is corn. When looking for a dry food for your dog if any of the first 3 or 4 ingredients is corn I would be weary...make sure the first to ingredients are meat meal. Also, don't buy anything with the word by-product in the ingredient list.

Here are some foods I think are good (after doing tons of research for my little one):

- Fromm's Four Star Nutritionals
- Cannidae
- Solid Gold
- Wellness (but your pup will most likely hate the taste and texture)

My baby is on solid gold hundchen flocken puppy food and might switch to Cannidae or Fromm's when she's ready for adult food. Royal Canin is ok if your Yorkie is a super picky eater and won't touch the stuff that's better for him.
