They can be very dangerous. My mom still has several tropical birds. Even when they are friendly and mean no harm, they can be easily startled and bite out of fear. Their cockatoo loves me and it gives me kisses. Once when it was kissing, one of the dogs ran by and hit the edge of the cage, it bit my nose HARD. That was a weird wound to explain for a while. I was lucky though, it could have taken it clean off if it had wanted. I definately would be very careful with a puppy and a parrot. |
