I had a pup before but she was 12 wks when I got her, she wasn't too bad that I can remember losing sleep over. But then again I had a almost newborn baby so I was up at those hours of the night. I had the pad out for her and she would use it most of the time. I would put soft blankets in the crate for her, so she could "hide" under and in side of them.
The hyper and craziness isn't going to die down any time soon. I have a 10 month old and she is WILD! lol She likes to play for two hours straight in the morning and then again a few times throughout the day. The best advice I can give is just tire her out with fetching a toy or run around with her for a good little while so she gets tired! Good luck
