Somehow if they are unhappy it takes longer for them to bounce back to their normal self, but if she is all happy it is not going to take long at all.
I saw the other posts about the hair never looking as good again. With our experience we noticed that after they loose all the hair they are supposed to loose , new beautiful hair comes in. We usually give a very short puppy cut after weaning the puppies. I am not sure if that is what could make a difference, as we only see the good new hair coming all together.
The post about the infection is very interesting. We never had it so i have no experience, but the great thing about many different inputs is this: more heads think and know better than one !
She will be beautiful again ! You will see it !!!
Ps.: Here they love the dressing up... so when they are not very happy i usually dress them up ... kkkk put new bows and stuff !!!

I usually do a puppy cut prior to breeding, I don't want to take the chance of puppies being strangled by mother's coat......
Since I show dogs, show coats take a bit more cultivating. So, once I've bred a mom, they tend to go lighter and a bit sparser, not ever getting back to that show coat again.
