No he didn't say what the cause was. He just thinks it's a birth defect, but he did say there was a good chance they would improve some on their own. I hated losing that tiny baby but she was just SO little, not even half the size of the others. Dr. Loper said that she may have had other birth defects, so at least she didn't suffer long.
The other 3 babies are fat as butterballs and Diva doesn't even act like she had surgery. Her incision looks great and she is a fantastic mom.
Even the little male is fiesty and strong. I'm blessed to have had the outcome I did. Breeding is hard and can break your heart. You have to go into it with open eyes. Thankfully I have a healthy mom and 3 puppies. |
