Sadie's behavior is typical for an eight week old puppy. The general guideline for how often they have to potty is one hour for every month of age plus an hour (although that can be less for toy breeds). So Sadie's every three hour schedule is perfectly normal.
As you are aware, if Sadie were still with her mom and littermates, they would be teaching her bite inhibition. Since she is home with you, you have to teach her yourself. You've already gotten great advice in your other threads. Just be persistent as it is not an overnight solution.
I know you are sleep deprived, but try to look on the positive side. You are very fortunate that you haven't had any problems with hypoglycemia and that Sadie is so happy and healthy. Before you know it she will be an adult and you will miss the puppy stage! |
