I know how but her fall was the most beautiful reddish gold you ever saw and down to the floor when I cut her down last week. Do you think she will stay the correct color/texture now/ I guess that is my question. I know it will take a long time to grow the coat back out but with her color now, she could go AKC and do well I have no doubt. She has not forgotten anything about showing.
Since she's had a litter and didn't turn light on you, she may keep that color.

How long do you think it'll take you to grow out her coat? Is her conformation so good that you think it'll be worth it to grow it out?

The thumb prints can be hidden by how you do the topknot. Take a small amount of hair for the poof, the hair you take should be way in front of the ears. Then after you've done the poof, the hair from a bit in front of the ears can be parted and put on each side of the head, covering the thumb prints. Then take the rest of the gold in the back of the head, rubber band it and attach it to the poof's pony tail with a band, then do the turn over. Not as complicated as it sounds, just takes a bit of practice.
