What your feeding is a good quality food. What is happening to your mom is she's blowing coat. Though other breeds do this normally, it's not very common with yorkies, but it does happen. My Go-Go did it every time she whelped a litter. The one thing to look out for (and this is based on personal experience) is that she doesn't begin to scratch/itch. If that happens, begin to bathe her in cool baths, every 3 days, good medicated shampoo. Watch for signs of little bumps where she's lost her coat. If that happens, have your vet look at her. It could be a staph infection....very easily treated with 10 days of antibiotics.
