Jack doesn't beg for food but if I offer something to him.... it's after I am completely done eating. Madden on the other hand, he thinks he needs to be sitting in my lap and licking my face as I eat. I just continually push him away.... after a handful of times he gives up and waits til I done. It's all about consistancy and establishing boundaries.
A general rule of thumb is.... anything that smells good to us smells amazing to your dog. As your dog can smell better than we can. Good luck!
